Antoine de Rooy started spinning records at the age of 12 and never stopped since. Born and raised on the island of Curacao, he started playing all kinds of music he could get on vinyl. In the early 90’s he moved to the Netherlands and developed a strong taste for techno music. After a hiatus from musical activity in 2006, he started dj-ing again and took on the alias of Kemmi Kamachi. He only started producing about 10 years ago. Over the years his productions have developed to a deeper and darker style of techno yet always keeping his very own typical rhythmic fashion. Labels he has released on are Contrast-r, F.O.S. Android Muziq, Frequenz5, Cromosom, Logism, Ex-tract Records, Crunch Control LCR Records and Anonymous Records. Remixes from his hand are featured on various other imprints too. In 2016 he launched his own label T1 Music.
This is where it all comes from… I have two 20 year old Technics SL-1210MK2 turntables that do the job. a DATEQ mixer for nice blending, very basic. Audio 8 amp using vinyl timecode records for spinning digital files. One desktop for SL and one laptop for streaming and a macbook pro running Traktor scratch pro. Ableton for producing.
Kemmistry is a format that took shape in code 415 back in 2007. At these sessions I spin almost only (very) recent released tracks; call it catch of the week. Many (sub)genres of techno and house mashed up into one solid content. This ussually results in an exiting journey of sound, we like to call KEMMISTRY
